Embodiment Training
Uncovering the intelligence within. Developing authentic presence and
comfortability in your body. Re-inhabiting your whole self.
Embodiment
Training invites the intelligence inherent in each specific body to come to the foreground. There is an evolutionary
impulse inside us that both shapes and sustains us. This is the strongest source of energy that we have.
Body is the genesis of mind. Our creativity, our inspiration, our very thoughts and emotions all have their beginnings
in the dark mystery of this interior landscape. Many of us have lost touch with our bodies. We approach life from
a purely rational perspective. This is unfortunate because it creates a split between the mind and body. We experience
mind in the head, while the dark, impressionable and yielding body becomes obscure, cumbersome and unfathomable. Embodiment
Training proposes a way to access these depths and experience what it is to think, feel and move with the whole body.
As human beings we commonly develop emotional and creative blocks in our childhood. To survive we shut off and abandon
many places in ourselves. Learning to be at home in the body can open the door to this forgotten territory. This
can be both threatening and liberating. The work reveals an innate body/mind intelligence that can become the
catalyst for healing and new direction in our lives.
Incorporating
over ten years of training in the somatic arts Embodiment Training uses a wide variety of techniques and tools. Resources
include Yoga, Voice and Theater Training, Movement, Meditation, Visualization and Breath-work. Embodiment Training
acknowledges that each person may have a different approach to embodiment. Specific programs are developed to meet the
needs of each person. This work is suited for all who wish to experience a more embodied approach to their personal,
professional and creative lives.
